Lox Bottle Protection Systems

Armour of America’s LOX (liquid oxygen) containment blanket is not only designed to protect against rounds being fired at the aircraft but also against a LOX bottle explosion and subsequent fire. The LOX bottle containment blanket is constructed and designed to provide fragmentation protection, suppress a LOX supported fire and self extinguish the flame up.  AoA’s LOX Bottle Containment Blanket can be used aboard the C-130, C-17 and other military cargo aircraft. This system is extremely easy to install utilizing a strap and buckle method. This strap and buckle method ensures that access to the bottle manifold and performing maintenance checks are quick and easy.

The following weights apply to AoA’s LOX Bottle Containment Blanket. Weight savings over hard armor LOX Bottle Containment Box:

As an alternative to our LOX Blanket, AoA also offers a hard armor LOX Protection Box. This box is rated at NIJ level IV for a high degree of protection. Our hard armor LOX Box is intended to stop rounds from penetrating the LOX bottle. AoA’s LOX Box can be used aboard the C-130, C-17 and other military cargo aircraft. This system is easy to install and the walls are quickly removable for maintenance checks and functions.
